Entry Requirement for level 5 Diploma in Education and Training:
- DET Level 5 candidates need to be qualified, proficient or experienced in the area of specialism they intend to teach.
- They need to demonstrate that they can study at a Level 5.
- Initial assessments in ICT, Numeracy and Literacy will be carried out to ascertain whether the candidate has the minimum expected requirement of proficiency.
- Access to 100 hours of teaching experience.

Study Mode:
For full-time study, we expect students to commit to 15 hours of study a week, whereas with the part-time study option, you need to commit to at least 7 hours.
Study comprises the following:
- Attending lessons (1-2 sessions a week).
- Completing your teaching hours and observations (100 hours of placement, 4 observed teaching sessions)
- Partaking in Continuous Professional Development (CPDs) (minimum 30 hours).
- Independent reading and research.
- Completing assignments using a variety of assessment methods.
- Attending 1-to-1 support sessions for additional help and progress checks.
