For the Level 5: “No official requirements. Most student applying for the level 5 tend to have a degree.”

3. How will the courses be delivered online?

The courses will be delivered online through a virtual learning environment (VLE) where you can access course materials, participate in discussions, and submit assignments. The online delivery is designed to be flexible, allowing you to catch up to any missed lessons and repeat and fit it around your schedule. However, keep in mind that practical elements such as placements and teaching practices may need to be completed in person.

6. Where can I do my placements?
Placements for teaching practices can be done in various settings and with different age groups. State schools, supplementary schools, and tuition centers are all acceptable as long as they provide the necessary experience in working with small and large groups of students, lesson planning, and other relevant aspects.
7. How is the online component of the course structured?
The online component of the course is structured through the virtual learning environment (VLE). Course materials, lectures, and assignments will be uploaded to the VLE. There will be a mixture of live and pre-recorded lessons, and you will have access to all the necessary resources and materials. You will also be able to submit assignments and receive feedback through the online platform.
8. Will the fact I have taken the course online appear on my certificate?

 

No, the fact that you have taken the course online will not appear on your certificate. The online DET program leads to the same qualification as the face-to-face program. The assessed outcomes and requirements are the same for all trainees, regardless of whether they completed the course online or in person. The assessor will observe face-to-face teaching practices and have access to the online materials to ensure the same standards are met for certification.

9. How will I pay for the course?

Bay Education centre strives to keep fees affordable for our students by offering various payment options. Students will initially have to pay a non-refundable deposit to the secure their place on the course. The student will then have three choices regarding how they want to pay the remaining fees:

 

1. Pay the full amount upfront

 

2. Pay the amount in two equal instalments, one at the beginning of the course and the other half way through the course

 

3. Pay in monthly installments over 6 months.

 

All payment plans are interest free and a personalised payment plan will be sent to each student depending on their course and any discounts.
